$5 pizzas and $1.75 beers at River City Brewery’s 17th Anniversary Party. Yum on so many levels.

The moment when I start taking everything too seriously is the moment when it all falls apart.

That said, I’m quite proud to be on this list.

If you haven’t registered to attend Free State Social, do it!

This is why I love her.

  • Erin: Your pocket just called me.
  • Me: OH GOD. FAIL.
  • Erin: It was very walky sounding. But really, the real fail? I answered like this: "Hello?" Then realized it was a 316 number on caller ID, realized it was probably you and said, "Oh HI!" Then silence. Then... I might have faked a laugh and said goodbye and hung up so it wasn't just me saying OH HI! to no one (for my cube mates).

Fool us once, shame on you. Fool us literally every single time in exactly the same way, cut the nonsense and give me equal rights already.

This.

Billy's one helluva showman

We were far away, but it was still great

We were far away, but it was still great

Highlights from last night’s Billy Joel/Elton John concert:

  • Tyler ended up scoring a ticket at the last minute. His seat was coincidentally RIGHT IN FRONT OF MINE.
  • The old people next to me did not appreciate talking or laughing at a concert and we were scolded. The really old man on the other side of me was adorable and made up for their nonsense.
  • I suddenly get the sex appeal of Billy Joel. I thought I would prefer Elton’s set, but Billy lured me in with his showmanship, sense of humor and (duh) amazing talent.
  • Both Billy and Elton (we’re on a first name basis now, obvs) still have serious chops. They sound incredible. Real musicians from an era of real music.
  • It was beyond worth the $62 for three and a half hours of awesome.

This guy, also known as my #1 person, will be starting a new job on March 15th. One that lets him work from 8-5. One that lets us finally spend the entire evening (and night!) together. One that doesn’t cause him to sleep for most of Saturday or get home right as I’m getting up. One that makes him happy.
I couldn’t be more proud or more excited for him. And for us.
