Tonight
A crazy snowstorm came between me and my best lady and prevented us from completing the first half of the current Old Chicago mini beer tour called (no joke) “I Love Beer.” I think we can all agree that weather preventing me from spending quality time with Carly, free t-shirts and beer is an utter travesty.
With the change of plans, I had dinner at my favorite local Mexican joint (conveniently located within 1/4 mile of our house) with my dude, came home and gave him a haircut WITHOUT COMPLETELY SCREWING UP (I think we can all agree this is kind of miraculous), drank two glasses of wine, which apparently equals drunk now that I am rapidly approaching my twenty-ninth year, and watched Paper Heart. I may have inappropriate feelings toward Michael Cera now.
Somewhere in the middle of all of this, I shoveled the snow off the driveway and walkway to the front porch. I had never shoveled snow before tonight. True story.
That, kids, is a damn good Friday night.
