Who knew I could be so controversial?
- Me: You are like the one millionth person to give me crap about my Entourage/The Hills comparison
- Chris: lol
- Me: I am sticking to my opinion though. Entourage is like The Hills for guys
- Me: And the only people who have given me crap for saying that are guys
- Me: Which i think kind of proves my point
- Chris: So you think The Hills kids have just as much talent as the Entourage guys?
- Me: No - it has nothing to do with talent
- Me: The show itself is similar - attractive, successful young people living in Hollywood
- Me: In each episode, not a whole helluva lot happens
- Me: On Entourage, it's the same story (only well written)
- Me: Guys hang out, guys have sex with hot girls, guys go out on the town, guys drink, guys smoke weed, Ari gets mad
- Me: blah blah blah
- Chris: lol
- Me: The Hills is like that too, but for girls
- Chris: From that angle, I guess the premise of the show is similar
- Me: thank you.
- Chris: Still though, that's a hard statement to make without people taking it the wrong way. It's like comparing Britney Spears to Elton John- they both make music, but on very different levels
- Me: I don't get why guys took it so personally
- Me: Actually, I do get why...
- Chris: Because it's one of the few dude shows that doesn't seem to care about appealing to chicks, and it's very relatable
- Me: Because I'm basically calling out their dude show for being kind of pointless and they don't want to admit to themselves that it kind of is. Granted, it's well acted the whole way through.
- Me: Guys are too sensitive
- Chris: rofl
