I told you I was curious…

Remember how I wanted to try boxed wine?  Well… I did.  I was enticed by Bota Box’s Pinot Grigio because of the packaging (I’m a packaging snob, which is why I now want to try Angel Juice).  Not to mention that the box is made of recycled materials and was $18 for the equivalent of four bottles of wine.

My lovely friend John hosted an Italian feast this weekend (all deliciously cooked by Regan with his magical knife skills) and we gave the Bota Box a try.  The verdict - pretty damn good for boxed wine.  Of course, this was after I singlehandedly knocked back a bottle of Nobilo Sauv Blanc, so my judgement here may be a little questionable, but everyone agreed that it tasted good. So good that I tried to drink it straight from the tap - a skill that I highly recommend NOT using when trying to make friends and influence people.

But hey - like wine? Want something affordable that doesn’t taste like total ass and will keep in the fridge for up to a month?  Give the ol’ Bota Box a try.
