![I think it’s time for a Max update. You may remember the little guy from his pitiful animal shelter picture or from the night he was rescued. That’s him on the left - right after Lola attempted to groom his face with her tongue.
Let’s just say Mr. Max has become rather accustomed to the luxurious life he leads. Pug friends? Check. Soft blankets and real furniture? Check. Sleeping in a bed with his person (aka me) and his two pug friends? Check. Good food in his little belly? Check. A backyard where he can run laps around said pug friends? Check.
Things are looking up for Max. He is gaining weight little by little so he no longer looks like the girls on 90210 (giant heads, skeletal bodies). His respiratory infection is completely healed and the fleas are gone. He is sweet and cuddly and learned how to sit over the weekend. He is still getting the hang of house training, though he’s made huge improvements in that area and I am increasingly grateful that my house has hardwood floors instead of carpet. Max will be visiting the vet this weekend for his first round of shots and various tests and will be neutered shortly thereafter.
If you or someone you know would like to make Max a permanent part of your family, please email me at shea.sylvia [at] gmail [dot] com or contact Homeward Bound Pug Rescue.](http://24.media.tumblr.com/WbHTuHn9Lgigy6rglhb67Am9o1_r1_500.jpg)
