Social Media Douchebags
You know what I really hate?
When people go to some sort of bullshiiit (I recently decided swearing isn’t really swearing if you misspell it) social media conference and Twitter the whole time with useless crap like “Discussing the importance of viral marketing” or “Learning about social media” or “Talking about how valuable Twitter is.”
REALLY?
Thank you for telling me absolutely nothing.
If it is so important/valuable, WHY?
WHAT did you learn that made you come to this earth-shattering conclusion? How can you quantify this astounding tidbit of knowledge? I want answers.
You think you should do it because everyone else is?
Or that social media is HUGE NOW and EVERY BRAND should be using it to reach consumers?
Bull.
Shiiiiit.
Prove to me where the value comes in. I want examples. Don’t consider yourself some sort of half-baked, self-proclaimed “social media expert” because you sat through an hourlong panel at some conference and listened to Gary Vaynerchuk go all ADD enthusiasm on you.
I want numbers. Statistics. Tell me about an increase in brand equity. Tell me how viral marketing is increasing sales or helping your reach niche markets. I want to see a GD Excel spreadsheet, thankyouverymuch.
So stop Twittering useless, vague statements with your lame asss hashtags that inform me which douchebag conference you are attending and show me WHERE THE VALUE LIES.
Please and thank you.
